Cage football comes to Brandon
Published on Tuesday 17th January 2012
An adrenaline-fuelled fast form of football is coming to Tesco’s Car park, London Road, Brandon, on Friday 20 January between 8pm and 10pm.
The game consists of two minute, two-a-side contests held in a specially built cage. It is the first to be held in Tesco's Car park and is being staged in response to concerns raised by members of the public about a lack of things to do for young people.
Forest Heath District Council, Anglia Community Leisure, Tesco and Suffolk Police are working together to address issues in Brandon, ensure that young people's views are listened to and that more activities for children and young people are provided.
Forest Heath District Councillor, Eddie Stewart, Member Champion for Community Safety, said: "This is a fun event and an opportunity for young people to come and have a go at something new. It will also give them the chance to share their views with Council officers, leisure centre staff and Police Officers."
