Statement of Community Involvement
Statement of Community Involvement
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) explains how groups and individuals can be involved in the LDF process and how we will consult people on planning applications. The statement is still in draft form, as the document was never submitted for final approval.
The stages
A Draft Statement of Community Involvement (October 2004) was prepared by the council and subject to a consultation period of seven weeks from 10th December to 28th January 2005.
The responses to the consultation on the draft SCI have been considered and a report was produced for the LDF Working Group, 19 May 2005.
In the light of the consultation responses the draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) was amended to produce the Preferred Option SCI June 2005.
Consultation took place from 20 June to 1 August 2005. The responses to this consultation have been considered and a report was produced for the LDF working Group on 29 September 2005.
A further consultation period ran from 26 September to 7 November 2005, but no further responses were received. The Statement of the Proposals Matters provides details about this second consultation period.
