Planning Service User Group

PLUG was set up in 2002 to represent the interests of all users of the Forest Heath District Council Planning Service. Its main aims are to advise and recommend how service improvements can be made, and to help develop new ways of meeting customer requirements.

External members of the Group include town/parish councillors, parish clerks, local architects and agents, a journalist, representatives of Save Historic Newmarket Action Group and a resident of Forest Heath.

The Group has among other things helped to set up challenge day sessions, formulate a Customer Charter for Development Control, and promote customer surveys/feedback about the Planning Service.

The agendas and notes of the latest meetings, which are normally held on a quarterly basis at the main Council office in Mildenhall are available to download.
