How to Make a Planning Application


Please note: From 1 April 2014 payments made by credit card will be subject to a fee of 1.74%. Debit cards are free to use.

The quickest and easiest way to submit a planning application is online using the Planning Portal.

If you are unable to submit your planning application electronically then please download the appropriate form. In addition to the application forms you will also find the specific checklist and guidance notes. Forms are also available from the Council Offices.

'Free Go': Criteria for a free resubmission of a planning application

Planning Aid: Provides free, independent and professional town planning advice and support to communities and individuals who cannot afford to pay planning consultant fees.

Location plans

All applications must be submitted with an up to date site location plan. If you would like to purchase an Ordnance Survey Map and prefer to order by phone, please call 05601 144373.

Once you are ready to submit your application, please check you have all the correct documentation/plans by referring to our application checklist.
