Pest Control

We have various responsibilities for pest prevention.

We have powers to make sure that people keep their land free from rats and mice. We may take enforcement action where necessary to remedy a problem.

Problems with rodents can be reduced by taking some simple measures, such as removing waste; including bin bags from land. Ensure no food, including bird food is left out and removing items that may provide shelter.

You can contact a pest control company for assistance if you have a problem. Details of such contractors can be found in the Yellow Pages or via other internet based directories.

You can contact us for help if you experience a large scale insect infestation from a neighbouring property as this can cause a statutory nuisance.
