Forest Heath District Council is made up of 27 members (councillors) who have been elected to represent the 14 wards in the district. You can find out who your local councillor is on the Councillors pages.
The Conservatives are the largest group, with 23 elected members. There are two Liberal Democrats, one Labour and one Independent member.
The Council operates a Leader and Cabinet model. The Cabinet and other committees report to the Council and their decisions are also looked at by our Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
The Leader of the Council is Councillor James Waters, and the Deputy Leader is Councillor Nigel Roman, and the Chairman is Councillor Eddie Stewart and Vice-Chairman is Councillor Chris Barker.
Our Electoral Services team runs all elections in the Forest Heath district, as well as maintaining the electoral roll. The electoral roll is continually updated and you can ask for your name to be included at any time. It is a legal requirement to be registered on the electoral roll.
