London 2012

Delivering the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games will be a massive undertaking, requiring goods and services from an enormous range of firms.

A Business Network has been created to help companies compete for Games-related business opportunities directly with London 2012 or with suppliers in its supply chain.

Part of the Business Network is the new 'CompeteFor' service, a business brokerage system that will match companies to thousands of opportunities supplying London 2012 contractors. Companies will be encouraged to advertise their opportunities through 'CompeteFor' with up to 20 per cent of all London 2012 supply chain opportunities expected to go through the system.

The Business Network also has details of the latest London 2012 business events and information to help businesses get involved.

Figures released from the Olympic Delivery Authority show that 1036 companies have won contracts for over  £5bn worth of work relating to the delivery of the 2012 Olympics. The figures published on the 9 September, show that 98% of the 1036 companies are UK based, 68% are small and medium sized, 46% are based outside London and one in 10 is in one of the five host boroughs.

Opportunities to tender for the supply of goods and services for both LOCOG and the ODA will be published on the London 2012 website but the latest bulletins are available under Related Downloads below.
