The Apprentice in Forest Heath |
STUDENTS will be presenting their
ideas to make Mildenhall attractive to businesses and visitors as
The Apprentice comes to Forest Heath.
The aim of the day, being led by Forest Heath District Council, is
for students to present realistic and practical projects to enhance
Mildenhall in the eyes of businesses in the tourism, retail and
manufacturing sectors.
The event, on July 6 at Mildenhall College of Technology, aims to
minimise the divide between employer expectation and student skills
and knowledge as well as encouraging entrepreneurship.
The projects will be judged and commented on by a panel of experts
from Forest Heath District Council, Business Link East, the Chamber
of Commerce and local business.
The students will be mentored by representatives from business,
tourism and key commercial organisations.
This is a pilot event and over 100 students aged between 16 and 18
are expected to take part.
This is an initiative led by Forest Heath District Council, with
partners from Business Link East, Chamber of Commerce, local
businesses, Business in the Community, and local schools.
