Forest Heath District Council's Building
Control Service operates from the District Offices and is
staffed by professional experienced officers with an extensive
knowledge both of local conditions and issues, and a wide range of
building types and construction techniques.
The main purpose of the Building Regulations 2000 (As amended), is
to ensure the Health and Safety of people in and about
buildings. They are also concerned with energy conservation
and making buildings more convenient and accessible for people with
disabilities.
Building Control endeavours to provide a high quality service,
based on the following points:

- We are able to provide information on Building Regulations
and other associated legislation. Advice is also available
regarding any proposed changes to Building Control legislation.

within our District.
- We are able to provide assistance and guidance on
applications.

notified before 10.00am that day.

working day from receipt of application.
