Hardstandings and paving your front garden:
Changes to householder permitted development rights came into
affect in October 2008.
A new or replacement hardstanding at the front of a property
with a surface area greater than 5sqm requires planning permission
unless it is made from porous material or directs run-off water to
an area within the property where it can drain away naturally.
