Your local environment - have your
say |
Fly-tipping, abandoned vehicles, litter, dog fouling and bin
management are all topics up for discussion at an event being
organised by Forest Heath District Council. The Council wants to
hear views from residents on what is good and what needs
improvement in their local environment and find out what they think
the Council could do to help improve the quality of the street
scene in their area.
The briefing session is being held at Studlands Park Community
Centre in Newmarket on Friday 4 April, 4 – 6pm. Residents are
invited to drop in for an informal discussion with officers from
the Waste and Street Scene Team who will be on hand to hear their
views and answer questions.
The drop in session will be the first in a series of similar events
to be held across the district.
Cllr Tony Simmons, Member Champion for Environment, said: “Everyone
is affected by their local environment. We want to raise awareness
and find out what residents feel is important to them so that the
Council can focus its efforts in those areas. I would encourage
residents to call in and let us know what they think.”
