AMERICAN service personnel are being asked to please return their UK electoral registration voting forms.

Forest Heath District Council is sending out the forms to all addresses in the district. Service personnel are not entitled to vote and there is a box on the form to indicate they are not eligible.  Americans living in the area should tick that box and return the form. There is no need to complete any other section of the form but it must be returned to Forest Heath District Council.

Sarah Cheek, Electoral Services Manager, said: "It is important that all the forms are returned, even if the recipient is not eligible to vote in this country. American service personnel and their families should just tick the relevant box at the end of the form and return to the address given."
