Spring Clean Campaign
06 Mar 2008
RESIDENTS across Forest Heath are being urged to Spring Clean their neighbourhood.
The council is supporting the Spring Clean Suffolk Campaign which runs from 31 March to 13 April and is encouraging everyone to join with friends, family or neighbours to take action against litter.
Fluorescent vests, gloves, litter pickers and refuse sacks are on offer to groups who organise a community Spring Clean event. But supplies are limited so you need to register your interest early. The council will also arrange to collect all the litter you pick up.
Towns and parish councils are also being asked to get involved and register a Spring Clean event by 21 March.
Whilst the Spring Clean Suffolk campaign is focused on a limited time, Forest Heath Council is keen to support local groups who wish to carry out litter picks at other times of the year.
Further information about organising a clean up campaign can be found on the Suffolk Recycling website at www.suffolkrecycling.org.uk or by contacting Forest Heath on 01638 719284.
