Sport relief run in Brandon
04 Mar 2008

THERE'S less than two weeks to go before the Brandon Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile for Sport Relief on Sunday 16 March.
Places are filling up fast and residents should to sign up now to guarantee a place for them and their family.
Brandon runners will be pulling on their Sport Relief socks and warming up at Brandon Leisure Centre , and will make their way along the route around Brandon Remembrance Playing Field. Sport Relief 2008 is all about challenging yourself, friends, family and colleagues to do something sporty and raise cash.
Nigel Snape at Brandon Leisure Centre said: “We're looking forward to seeing hundreds of local residents going the distance and getting sponsored for Sport Relief.”
Milers can choose to do one, three or six miles, so can select the distance that is a challenge for them and make sure they get sponsored while they do it.
Sport Relief harnesses the power and passion of sport to change lives for the better. By doing sport, having fun and raising money, everyone can do good and feel good. Comic Relief spends the money raised to help vulnerable people living incredibly tough lives both at home in the UK and in the world’s poorest countries.
