Charity Craft Fair - Saturday
|
THE Forest Heath District Council chamber is being transformed for a Charity Craft Fair on Saturday (10 November).
The formal debating chamber will become home to local craftspeople offering exciting and different gifts for sale from 10am to 4pm. The handcrafted items and unique gifts on sale include jewellery, cards, Heritage lace, chocolates, knitted and quilted items.
This is the second year council staff have organised a Craft Fair to raise money for the Chairman's charities. This year proceeds are going to the East Anglian Air Ambulance and MacMillan Cancer Support, both of whom will be represented at the fair.
As well as gift ideas there will be a Children's Corner where young visitors can name a teddy or decide where treasure is buried. Refreshments are being served by the Beck Row Women's Institute and there are some exciting prizes on a bumper raffle.
