What happens on the scheme?
Throughout the ‘exercise on the referral scheme at Forest Heath,
we aim to guide you towards a healthier lifestyle. We will
encourage you towards regular physical activity, offer advice on
healthy eating, stopping smoking and how to help you combat
stress.
If your GP / Practice Nurse / CPN or physiotherapist thinks that
you would benefit from attending our scheme then they will complete
a referral form and ask you phone one of our
leisure centres for an appointment. The referral is for 10
weeks and you are invited to attend twice each week. Activity is
tailored to your ability and fitness which is gradually increased
during the course as you become fitter.
How do I get started?
Phone one of our
leisure centres and ask to book an assessment appointment.
