Performance data is collected four times every year via our
Performance Management system (called Covalent). This
information is presented to and scrutinised by the Management Team
and the Performance & Audit Committee.
A wide range of strategic performance indicators and actions based
around our corporate priorities are monitored and reported
on. Our latest performance report to the Performance &
Audit Committee is available in the Downloads section on this
page.
National Indicators
To monitor performance across all local authorities, the Government
has adopted a set of National Indicators that every authority is
required to report its performance against each financial year (as
from April 2008). As an important part of its performance
management framework, Forest Heath uses these nationally defined
indicators, as well as a range of other local performance
indicators to measure and monitor its performance. For more
information on the National Indicators set, please follow the
Communities and Local Government website link in the Downloads
section at the bottom of this page.
These new indicators replace the previous Best Value Performance
Indicators, for which the last set of data was published on 30 June
2008. Our performance data for 2007/08 can be viewed via the
link in the Downloads section on this page.
Best Value Performance Plan
The statutory requirement for local authorities to produce a Best
Value Performance Plan was removed in 2007, but we are still
required to publish outturn performance data on the Best Value
Performance Indicators and a statement certifying compliance with
the Code of Practice on Workforce Matters.
Our Best Value performance data for 2007/08 and a statement on
contracts and workforce matters is available via the link in the
Downloads section below.
