Implementing Electronic
Government (IEG) was an initiative sponsored by the Office of
the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM). The aim was to increase the range
of options that members of the community could use to contact and
access services from their local authorities and other public
bodies.
A series of targets was set and, periodically, progress was
reported via an IEG self-assessment return.
