Youth &
Connexions Service:
The service
provides confidential advice, support and information for all
13-19 year olds.
Careers, Employment &
Training
You can talk to Connexions personal advisers and
recruitment advisers about what you want to do, and they’ll tell
you about the options available, and support you through the
process, if you need it.

Youth Clubs
Suffolk County Council run a number of youth clubs throughout the
District working with young people to organise a
programme of activities for club members. The
youthworkers at these clubs are available to talk to about issues
which may be concerning you inside or outside of the youth
club. Many youth clubs also have a visiting nurse who can
offer advice and information on contraception and sexual health
.

There are also a number of other youth groups which are run by
private, community and voluntary organisations some of which
are listed in our Youth Directory.
Detached Youthwork Teams
Suffolk County Council Youth & Connexions Service also
have a team of detached youth workers in the District who meet
young people in their own spaces, such as parks, bus shelters,
shopping centres or on the street. Working in partnership with
young people they help individuals and groups to address the needs
they identify and engage with other relevant agencies.
Online Advice and
Information
There are a range of webpages designed to provide
online information and signpost you to
services. You will find a selection of links here,
which should enable you to find the answers to
most general questions. However, it is a much
better idea for you to talk to someone in person, and you can ask
to talk to your School Nurse or Youthworker in confidence if
anything is worrying you.
