Community Forums

Community cohesion is about everyone working together, to build strong relationships with each other, regardless of background, age or needs.

It's an ongoing part of life, our community is constantly changing and we want to see strong positive relationships with all people in Forest Heath sharing a common future vision and a sense of belonging.

We are working with voluntary organisations and community groups to look at issues around community cohesion. We have a Forest Heath Community Cohesion Partnership (FHCCP) and four community forums which feed into the partnership.

The partnership meets throughout the year to talk about the priorities identified by the forums at their regular meetings and to discuss barriers that may exist within our community.

There are four community forums currently in the Forest Heath area:
• Disability Forum
• Youth Forum
• Health Improvement Forum
• Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Forum

For more information about the Forums, or if you want to be involved, please contact the Community Engagement Officer.
