If a light goes out in your street who do you
call to fix it?
A majority of the street lights in the district belong to Suffolk
County Council and have a plastic plate with the freephone number
0800 591055.
Forest Heath District Council only owns 155 lamps and each one has
our crest displayed. These lights are found in some car parks
and town centres. Please call 01638 719000 to report a
fault.
Lights in garage blocks and on estates now belong to Kings' Forest
Housing and you should phone 0845 6013390 to report faults.
Other lights are owned by the relevant parish or town
councils.
Follow this link to find out their contact
details.
When reporting a street light fault, please have the following
information ready:
Please try to give as much information as possible about the fault,
for example, is the light not working at all, is it an intermittent
fault or is the light staying on during the day?
Please state the street light number. If you don’t know the
lamp post number, please give some other means of locating the
light such as a nearby house
number.
