Suffolk’s diversity is developing
– socially, culturally and economically. This has brought enormous
benefits. For example, more than 105 languages are spoken in
Suffolk schools, which adds to the richness of the county. The
inward flow of migrant workers into Suffolk is supporting the
economy in positive ways.
By understanding how diverse our communities are and the people
involved we can bring to life the concept of Community Cohesion,
this is a term that has been given to describe how people who live
and work in the same place get along. It is about looking at the
common values that keep us all together.
