Consultation Feedback

The feedback from our consultations helps the Council when it comes to making decisions about the services we offer. On this page you will be able to see how your valuable opinions, views and comments have helped us come up with an end result.

The feedback displayed here is also a way of showing you what happened once you had been asked for information, where did it go and what was the outcome?

BMX track consultation September/October 2009
This consultation focused on asking members of the community their thoughts on a having a BMX facility located out in Mildenhall Woods. We wanted to gather thoughts about the design of the track and what appealed to young people who would use it. We also wanted to speak to local residents who were concerned at the noise impact this may have and what it would mean for the surrounding areas. By holding a series of sessions at schools and then day and evening open events at St Johns Community Centre and the Jubilee Centre we gathered ideas and comments from the community.
You can view the final design in at the two links below, these were taken from the mixture of the two that where on display, the feedback allowed us to have a design which included specific elements people had asked for.

Place Survey 2008
This is a statutory survey which started in 2008 and will be undertaken every two years. Every Local Authority has to take part. The Survey aims to acertain what the local community's perception of their neighbourhood and local public services are. It gives the Council an indication of which areas in the District need further consultation to identify any issues.
Information on the results that have been analysed are below.

We are currently developing a database of community groups and contacts to help us to make sure that everyone is able to fully participate in our consultations. If you are a member of a community group and would like the group's details to be put onto the database please email consultation@forest-heath.gov.uk with contact details and a summary of the group's interests.

We are also developing an online system for residents to be automatically alerted when a consultation relevant to them is taking place. If you would like to register your interest in this, please email consultation@forest-heath.gov.uk with your contact details.
