Community Strategy
2006-2016 (1.245MB)
We are committed to doing all we can to make life better for our
local residents. To achieve this, we know we will make more
of an impact by working in partnership. We have joined with
St Edmundsbury Borough and Babergh District Councils, the Police,
Suffolk Primary Care Trust, West Suffolk College, voluntary
organisations, private businesses and other community groups to
work together to achieve our goals. By working together we
can make better use of our resources and get more for our
money.
We have called the partnership the West Suffolk Local Strategic
Partnership (WSLSP) and together we concentrate on issues such as
health and wellbeing, the needs of young people and older people,
community safety, local skills, training and the environment.
To guide our work we have drawn up a
Community Strategy for 2006-2016. This
looks at the social economic and environmental wellbeing of our
area and outlines our long term vision and an action plan for
how we will get there.
