Community Development in Your Area

Making a Difference

We work with local residents, community organisations and partner agencies (such as parish councils, Suffolk ACRE, the Police and youth or education services) to help them to get projects off the ground. This may include:

  • Advice on funding and training
  • Help with setting up committees or writing constitutions
  • Advice on how to recruit and manage volunteers.

How you can help through Volunteering

The Forest Heath Voluntary Centre operate a range of services such as dial-a- ride, community car service, wheels within wheels, a befriending service and much more. The Centre also work to promote volunteering in the Forest Heath area. They recruit, match and place volunteers with a wide range of local voluntary organisations. All the opportunities are listed on the following website Do it Volunteering.

Or please call 01638 608048 to hear more about volunteering in your area, the website for the Centre is The voluntarynetwork.org

In Brandon we are working with Keystone Development Trust to promote the benefits of volunteering in the community and supporting those who wish to set up groups. You can find out more information by visiting their website Keystone Development Trust
