How to challenge your ECN

If you wish to challenge an Excess Charge Notice, you must complete the attached form (additional forms are available at the Cash Offices).  Send the form to Property & Facilities Management at the above address.  Unfortunately, the Property & Facilities Management team is unable to accept telephone calls about ECNs.

If you are disputing an ECN, please do not send payment.

What happens next?

  • Your form will be passed to a Parking Case Officer who will examine all the evidence and normally reply within 7 days.
  • If your challenge is rejected, and you responded within the initial seven days, the deadline by which to pay the discounted amount of £20 will be extended for a further seven days.

Avoid getting a parking ticket!

Follow these guidelines and you will hopefully avoid getting an Excess Charge Notice.
