Blue Badge Permits in the
Forest Heath area are issued by Suffolk Social
Services team and are designed to help make car parking easier
for people who have mobility difficulties.
The Department for Transport has produced a
guidance manual for blue badge holders and
their drivers which details the power to inspect blue badges
being diplayed on vehicles.
Pay and Display Car Parks
Parking is
FREE in the car parks
set out below for all vehicles displaying the blue badge and time
clock correctly. Free parking is permitted in all bays not
just those dedicated for disabled parking provided the permit is
displayed.
Parking is however restricted to the maximum time allowed in any
car park:-
Disabled Badge holders are required to display their
badge on the dashboard with the Blue Badge showing
correctly.
Permits showing the expiry date must be displayed
in the front windscreen of the vehicle as shown (below). The
incorrect display of Disabled Badge could result in a Excess Charge
Notice being issued.

As well as the Disabled Badge a parking disc is also required
(these are issued with the badge). The disc must be displayed every
time you park and set to show the time of arrival. This should be
displayed alongside your Blue Badge.

Failure to display a Disabled Badge will result in a
Excess
Charge Notice being issued.
If you have any comments please
e-mail Property
& Facilities Management.
