Forest Heath District Council and St. Edmundsbury Borough Council's 'It's Your Opportunity' Event

Forest Heath District Council and St. Edmundsbury Borough Council are pleased to invite you to a free event where you can explore a range of opportunities to grow and support your business and take advantage of public sector procurement contracts.

There will be representatives from Forest Heath District Council and Suffolk County Council Procurement Teams, the 48th Contracting Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, London 2012, Suffolk Police and many others will discuss their current needs and future requirements.General information wil also be available from organisations such as Business Link East and Choose Suffolk.

Addtionally there will be seminars running throughout the event from USAFE, Suffolk Chamber, London 2012 and both Forest Heath and St. Edmundsbury Council's Procurement Teams where you can learn more about a specific subject. The times of these seminars are as follows:

Suffolk Chamber 3 - 3.30pm 5 - 5.30pm
USAFE 3.30 - 4pm 5.30 - 6pm
London 2012 4 - 4.30pm 6 - 6.30pm
Council's Procurement Teams 4.30 - 5pm 6.30 - 7pm

Understanding Finance for Business


If you are starting or growing a business and you're looking for funding of £10,000 or more, you may need someone to help you work through the different options and identify which type of funding will work best for your business. 'Understanding Finance for Business' is a free of charge programme that helps entrepreneurs identify the right kind of funding for their business and get in shape for investement. There are places available on workshops in Harlow, Ipswich, Hethel, Cambridge, Stevenage, Luton, Chelmsford and Norwich.

The programme is run by St Johns Innovation Centre on behalf of the East of England Development Agency. The process is simple - register online, then attend two workshops. The first workshop covers the big picture and the second looks at funding in a more focused way. After these, if the team think you would benefit from one-to-one support to get you to an investment ready position you will be supported and advised in your journey to secure funding.
